THE PRIME MINISTER, summing up the discussion, said that the problems involved required consideration interdepartmentally by officials in the light of the Committee's discussion. The Committee would then wish to
consider the issues further.
The Committee
(1) Invited the Minister of State for Commonwealth Affairs
in consultation with the Foreign Secretary, Chancellor of the Exchange, Defence Secretary and the Home Secretary, to arrange for interdepartmental
examination
by officials in the light of the discussion of the problems involved in OPD (67) 12.
(2) Agreed to resume their discussion
report by officials.
